3 issues in general with high priority
Board of Equalization Property Tax Adjustments
Property owners across Cache County saw significant tax adjustments on three major parcels, including a large estate in Paradise and commercial/vacant land in Logan. These adjustments reflect actual market sales, encumbered wetlands, and equity comparisons.
FR-40 Frontage Requirement Exemption
An ordinance amendment was proposed to exempt existing legal parcels in the FR-40 zone from strict public or private road frontage rules, provided owners have a recorded access easement. The council discussed whether this helps landowners or creates access disputes.
Plastic Bag Ban
Logan just banned single-use plastic bags, meaning you'll need to start bringing your own reusable bags to the store. It's a quick habit change to help cut down on local litter and waste.
