DIY Skate Park

A father of a skater argued that an official park would solve safety issues and keep kids away from local businesses.

A high school student shared how skating taught him resilience and community, urging the city to keep the current spot.

A long-time resident noted the property has been an abandoned eyesore for years and the skate park is a better use of the land.

A National Guard member highlighted the importance of the park for community building and keeping youth engaged in positive activities.

A neighbor living across from the park said it has been fun to watch the kids build it and it keeps them off the streets.
