4 issues in development with high priority
Walker Ridge Townhomes Development
Residents near 3533 South Highway 89 pushed back against an 8-unit townhome project, raising concerns about building height, crowded parking, narrow access for fire trucks, and loss of backyard privacy. The applicant and planning commission agreed to conditions capping height at 35 feet and expanding setbacks on southern edges to address neighbor concerns.
City Hall Beautification
The city is looking to fix up the empty lot south of City Hall. The goal is to stop dirt from sliding onto the sidewalk and make the city entrance look better.
Satellite Library Facility
North Salt Lake is planning to rezone local farmland for new development, which will permanently change the city's look and likely clog up your commute. If you're not a fan of losing green space, you should definitely show up to the next city council meeting to make your voice heard.
Redwood Road Corridor Development
A new 4,500-square-foot McDonald's with a drive-thru is coming to 1096 North Redwood Road. The project meets all landscaping, parking, and architectural standards.
