Surveillance Technology
Saratoga Springs is holding off on buying automated license plate readers because they cost too much and raise serious privacy red flags. Instead of rushing into tech-heavy tracking, city leaders are pumping the brakes to weigh the price tag against your right to privacy.
Animal Control Code & Noise Enforcement Updates
The council updated animal control rules to handle minor infractions as administrative offenses instead of misdemeanors, making enforcement more streamlined through ACE court.
Planned Power Outage
Rocky Mountain Power is planning a temporary blackout in Saratoga Springs to perform necessary grid maintenance. Expect your lights to go out for a bit while they get the work done.
Postal Service Expansion
Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain are finally in line for a new post office to fix those annoying mail delays and endless wait times. Rep. Burgess Owens is pushing the project to help keep up with our area's rapid growth.
City Attorney Appointment
Saratoga Springs just hired a new city attorney who was previously banned from being a judge in Nevada. It's a pretty wild hire that makes you wonder who's vetting these people handling our city's legal business.
